The failure mode of a group chat video is that everyone sounds the same. Give each member a distinct voice in one line or less — one person over-explains, one only sends fragments, one is always a beat behind the conversation. Distinct avatars and names do the visual half of that work, but the writing has to do the rest, because a viewer who cannot tell the participants apart stops following at about the eight-second mark.
The comedy in a group thread is usually density: nothing, nothing, then five messages in two seconds. Build to it. Let a question sit unanswered, then land the responses on top of each other so the screen fills faster than it can be read. That contrast is the joke — and it only works if the setup was slow enough to make the flood feel like a change.
