Border Guard Commander: Comrade Krenz. There are hundreds of people at the Bornholmer Street checkpoint. They say the wall is open.

Egon Krenz: It's NOT open. Tell them to go home.

Border Guard Commander: There are THOUSANDS now.😮

Egon Krenz: Hold the line. I'll get clarification from Moscow.

Border Guard Commander: There are tens of thousands of people. They're chanting. They're not going home.
